Entry Requirements
This is an open entry program of study with participants needing to read, write and communicate in English to a level to perform the job.- Students will be required to complete a “Language, Literacy, Numeracy & Digital (LLND)” evaluation to determine suitability for the course
- Students must undertake a “Pre-Training Review” prior to determine suitable for the course
- Students must be over 18 years of age to conduct practical work placement.
- Students must obtain a volunteer Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) (commonly known as a police check) at their own expense. Please note, if there is a Disclosable Court Outcome on the record, we are unable to assist with placement, as industry partners require a clear record. In Victoria, this includes any offences by adults up to 10 years ago, and this requirement is non-negotiable.

- Students are required to be able to access appropriate technology (including a computer). Students must have sufficient digital literacy. Further details will be discussed upon application

Practical Placement
Practical placement of 35 hours is a mandatory requirement of this course. All Health Training will organise on our students behalf.
- Typically, Monday to Friday with a start time of 8am – 9am and a finish time of 3.30pm - 5pm.
- Sometimes placement may occur over 2 weeks which is at the employers discretion.
- All providers request students to undertake placement in one block of time and as such, All Health Training suggests if you are already working you consider discussing and organising work and/or family care arrangements prior to undertaking practical placement to enable you to undertake these duties during the week.
- Placement completed at the end of the course as students must have done at least 20 “successful” live bleeds before placement can be commenced. Placement may take between 1 - 3 months to coordinate with industry.
- Placement is not available during the months of December & January due to restrictions with employers.
- Students will be required to wear an All Health Training polo shirt and name badge (both provided) on placement. In addition, long black pants & black closed in, non-slip shoes will be required which students will either need to provide or purchase at their own cost.
- Students may be asked to wear an N95 face mask or a surgical face mask whilst on placement
- Students may be asked for a negative Covid test prior to attending placement – this may be a RAT or PCR testing. This will depend on the host employer's policies and procedures, and will be communicated to each student as placement is coordinated.
