Course Information

This course gives graduates the skills and knowledge required to equip the existing disability support workforce with strategies to ensure that people with a disability take and use the medication in accordance with the documented medication chart/treatment sheet developed by their medical practitioner.

The program is designed to include a combination of practical application and demonstration of skills, research, analysis and completion of competency-based workbooks.

Entry Requirements

This is an open entry program of study with participants needing to read, write and communicate in English to a level to perform the job.

    • Students will be required to complete a “Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN)” evaluation
    • Students must undertake a “Pre-Training Review” prior to course commencement
    • Students are required to be able to access a computer, internet with moderate digital technology skills to conduct online and virtual course requirements

The student tuition fees as published are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding under the Skills First Program and may impact your access to further government-subsidised training.

To be eligible for a government subsidised training and $0 fees you must:

Meet one of the following citizen/residency status:

  • Australian citizen; or
  • Australian Permanent Resident (holder of a permanent visa); or
  • New Zealand citizen
Please note:
  • There is no requirement to “upskill” to secure funding for Courses in
  • Students can access funding for two Courses in at a time however, the two at a time applies collectively across Courses in & full qualifications
  • Students can access funding for two Courses in per year
  • There is no limit on how many Courses in you can undertake in a student’s lifetime
